Physical Therapy
Good Samaritan Hospital's superb Physical Therapy programs have helped
thousands of patients to regain their strength and function. Custom-made
programs address each individual's needs, while a dedicated staff
of therapists provides compassionate care in a state-of-the-art setting.
Our specially trained Physical Therapists offer comprehensive programs
for spinal disorders, orthopedic conditions, neurological conditions,
and wound care.
We also offer a Vestibular Rehabilitation Program that helps patients manage
symptoms of vertigo, dizziness and balance dysfunction. The program has
noticeably improved patient lives by decreasing vertigo or dizziness,
improving balance, decreasing risk of falls and improving functional activities.
Cardiac Rehabilitation
Good Samaritan Hospital offers an inpatient and outpatient Cardiac Rehabilitation
program to help patients following an acute cardiac even return to a healthier
and more active lifestyle as safely and quickly as possible. The program
also includes education and counseling by Exercise Physiologists to help
patients make lifestyle changes.
Occupational Therapy
Our Occupational Therapists work with individuals who need specialized
assistance to regain independence. The focus is on adapting the environment
to fit the person. People who are experiencing physical and cognitive
changes can benefit from Occupational Therapy.
Speech Therapy
Speech pathologists at Good Samaritan Hospital evaluate and treat patients
who have communication and speech problems. These problems may include
difficulty in expressing thoughts and feelings, understanding what people
are saying and/or inability to understand or remember what was read. Swallowing
problems are also addressed.
Physical medicine hours are: Monday - Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
