Admitting
The Admitting Department is found on the first level of the hospital, to
the right rear of the lobby. You'll find a warm welcome and answers
to your questions about your hospital stay.
Most admissions take place between 5:30 a.m. and noon. Your physician will
assign a specific time. Please bring health coverage information (insurance,
Medicare or Medi-Cal card) and authorization for service if required by
your insurance carrier.
Before You Arrive
To ensure that your hospital stay is as pleasant as possible, a pre-admission
representative will call to answer your questions and obtain insurance
information. If you do not hear from us, please call (213) 482-2460 and
speak to a pre-admission representative.
Pre-Admission and Testing
Your physician may request certain tests - such as blood sampling, EKG
and X-rays - before your admission. For your convenience, specially trained
personnel in our Pre-Admissions Testing Center (located in the Admitting
Department) will perform all ordered tests.
