Living with Diabetes
During this 4 class series, participants learn how to prevent or manage
diabetes with the M’s: Meals, Movement, Monitoring, Medication,
Medical Support and Mental health. We also provide diabetes support groups
and cooking demonstrations.

Heart
and Stroke
H.E.L.P.
The
Healthy
Eating and
Lifestyle
Program (HELP) 3 class series helps people reduce their risks of heart attack
or stroke through blood pressure control, cholesterol reduction and weight
management. Participants also learn how to recognize the signs and symptoms
of heart attack and stroke, and the actions to take.

Nutrition Education & Chronic Disease Awareness
Participants learn the benefits of all 6 nutrients: Carbohydrates, Protein,
Fats, Vitamins, Minerals & Water. Other topics include: food label
reading, meal planning, physical activity, hypertension, diabetes, and
cardiovascular disease awareness.

Lactation Consultations
An International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) will conduct
an assessment and develop a care plan to address breastfeeding challenges
such as establishing and maintaining mother’s milk supply, infant
weight gain or help with special needs infants.

Breastfeeding Classes and Breastfeeding Support
Class topics include benefits of breastfeeding, hunger cues, soothing a
fussy baby, how and when to give solid foods and how to help a choking
infant. Certified Lactation Educators provide breastfeeding support, answer
breastfeeding questions, and assist with breastfeeding positioning & latch.

Infant CPR
By practicing on an infant manikin, participants learn how to assess an
infant, call for help, perform 30 chest compressions, and give breaths.
Participants also practice how to clear the airway of a choking infant.
